Since mattresses are so close to our babies, I wanted a mattress that would be safe (no pvc, other bad chemicals). This perfectly fit our needs. Just make sure you get sheets that fit properly. Some were a bit too tight and would cause the mattress to bow.

I was searching the web for a replacement mattress for my cradle. The one it came with was worth nothing...it was so thin that my baby slept in my bed, instead of in his own. I was desperate...I found ababy on Sunday night, ordered it on Monday and by Wednesday my baby slept in his own bed on a nice firm mattress!I am extremely satisfied.

i contacted ababy before purchasing this item to find out more information about the mattress. i was concerned with the firmness of it. i was told that the mattress was firm and would not conform to my baby's shape. i was also told that it met all of these safety standards and passed numerous safety tests. i purchased it based on all of the great information but was extremely disappointed once the mattress arrived. it came folded in half in a box. no firm mattress would be able to fold in half. the mattress conformed to my baby's shape after setting him on it for only a few moments. this product is not safe. babies need a firm surface to sleep on, if not, their breathing can be compromised. after i original spoke to ababy i thought that it was strange that if their product went through all of this testing and meets safety standards then why didn't they list these credentials in the product description. they don't list them because it is not true. i should of listened to my instincts and never of purchased the mattress. i had a great deal of difficulty with the return but after several complaints they finally refunded my money. don't waste your time with this product. spend the extra money and get a quality mattress for the sake of your child.

I needed a new mattress for a basket bassinett that was mine when I was a baby. I couldn't find anything to fit, but this worked nicely. The cover seems waterproof enough and it is nice a firm. Great buy for the money!

The matress was good quality but it did not fit my older basinett that must not be standard size. Initially I was unclear about the measurement and ordered it based on the basinett liner measurements (that I also had purchased at the same time.) After sending it back my money was refunded quickly.

Overall I am satified with this product, but just as an FYI to buyers - When I washed the mattress protector for the first time, it did shrink from 29 inches to 27 1/2 inches WITHOUT drying it. This worked well for me because it was slightly too long for my bassinet, but who knows how much it would have shrunk if I had dried it.
It is sturdy and has NO chemical smells. I question what makes it waterproof if it's just 100% cotton, but it does seem to repel water.

The bassinet we have for our baby is one we received from friends who used it for all of their kids. The mattress, or pad, it came with was flimsy and made of foam. This mattress is perfect. I did not have any size issues since I actually measured my bassinet before ordering to make sure it was the right fit. The mattress fits great, is firm but, not rock hard and has a built-in protector for spit-up or other accidents. I love that it is organic, so no need to worry about what chemicals your baby is inhaling.

This bassinet mattress is of very good quality. It is much thicker than the flimsy pad that originally came with the bassinet. Unfortunately, I only gave it 3 stars because of the size. The mattress was too small for the bassinet. There was too much of a gap between it and the walls of the bassinet, therefore I had to send it back. I would recommend carefully measuring your bassinet before buying this product. However, I was easily able to return it to the company for a refund. I was very happy with the customer service from the company.

I'm sure the product is fine. Or it had better be...I haven't even received this yet, but I have a review of the purchase experience. Had I known that "standard shipping" would be over $20 on this 2-lb, $29.99 purchase being sent to a local domestic address, I wouldn't have ordered it from Amazon, but simply driven to Target to buy it. To make matters worse, the things I ordered at the same time have already been shipped, but this is still "being prepared for shipment"...and I can't cancel. Usually I notice these shenanigans, but this one got past me. So if you're living in the Arctic or on a desserted island 150 miles from your nearest Target Store and this is the one you want, go for it. Otherwise, buyer beware.

The contour pad was great for my granddaughter's visit. I didn't have to buy a changing table (another piece of furniture I don't need). The pad was placed on an existing dresser and was very secure. The contoured sides kept the baby in place. I highly recommend it.
